Pettistree House works perfectly for a group of 30 to wine and dine in style.

It is very much your own venue for the duration of your stay. If you decide to self-cater we can recommend local speciality food shops, or all the Supermarkets deliver. The kitchen itself is designed with party catering in mind:- a 4 oven Aga plus a separate large range cooker, 2 fridge freezers plus extra fridge, 3 dishwashers, white crockery throughout and of course lots of glasses of every type, including champagne! For al fresco dining there is a 4 burner gas barbecue.

However, if the chef amongst you decides to have the night off (or indeed you prefer to sit back, relax and be entertained) there are a number of delicious dining options available.

Here is just a taster:-

Caterers - all highly recommended by previous guests

Take Away - Useful for arrival night or for a smaller group staying on.

Bengal Tandoori restaurant and take away in the local village, Wickham Market, has some excellent reviews. There is also a selection in nearby Woodbridge including Prezzo Pizza and The Golden Panda Chinese. Or why bother to leave your beautiful surroundings, previous guests have hired in their own fish and chip van!

Walking Distance - our two fave local pubs:

  • The Greyhound Pub in Pettistree - www.greyhoundinnpettistree.co.uk - Local dining pub gets rave reviews on Tripadvisor.  Pleasant 10 mins walk away through quiet lanes.
  • The Crown at Ufford - www.theuffordcrown.com - Recently refurbished and getting great reviews locally.

About a 10 minute drive:

The charming nearby market town of Woodbridge has a great selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Just a few to mention:

About 15 to 25 minutes’ drive:

  • Brudenell - Acclaimed Hotel Restaurant at the far end of Aldeburgh - www.brudenellhotel.co.uk
  • The Lighthouse Restaurant - popular with the urbanites who flock to the Suffolk coast at weekends. Unpretentious, bistro style. - www.lighthouserestaurant.co.uk
  • Aldeburgh is also famous for its fish and chips! There are two, one in the centre and one further along at the end of the town.

  • Pump Street Bakery - www.pumpstreetbakery.com - Highly applauded cafe/bakery, winning accolades in the weekend press and a BBC Best Food Producer winner.
  • Crown & Castle, Ruth Watson of Hotel Rescue fame is the co-proprietor and executive chef. www.crownandcastle.co.uk
  • The Butley Orford Osterage, small restaurant with oysters as a speciality. Also part of Pinneys of Orford, famous for smoked fish – check out the website for their rather delicious looking hampers - www.pinneysoforford.co.uk
